摘要: ABSTRACT The research aimed to determine instructors' and adult students' perceptions of differences in men women classroom behavior higher education classes. A questionnaire was developed consisting items representing behaviors, personal attributes, a measure overaLL student participation (not used this analysis), questions regarding respondent characteristics. sample drawn from four institutions: two public community colleges, one rural suburban location; large private university small city; liberal arts college location. Only students, defined as age 25 or older, were included the 200 students. Seven factors identified which accounted for 54% total scale variance. They include verbal participation, learning orientation, dominating others, support seeking, self disclosure, assurance, sociability. findings suggest that overall students are small. Neither instructors nor group indicated varied greatly on any dimension behavior. Includes 14 references. (JDD)
