摘要: During school hours, children can sit for prolonged and unbroken periods of time. This study investigated the impact an 8-month classroom-based intervention focusing on reducing breaking-up sitting time children’s cardio-metabolic risk factors (i.e., body mass index, waist circumference, blood pressure) perceptions musculoskeletal discomfort. Two Year-6 classes (24 students per class) in one primary were assigned to either or control classroom. The classroom was equipped with height-adjustable desks teacher instructed delivery pedagogical strategies reduce break-up class. followed standard practice using traditional furniture. At baseline, after 8-months, spent sitting, standing, stepping, sitting-bouts (occasions continuous sitting) as well frequency sit-to-stand transitions obtained from activPAL inclinometers light-intensity physical activity ActiGraph accelerometers. Demographics characteristics a self-report survey. Hierarchical linear mixed models found that during class-time, overall long bouts (>10 min) lower number higher group compared group, while no changes observed pain/discomfort. No significant effects anthropometrics measures pressure. Height-adjustable reduce/break-up positively modify patterns children. Longer interventions, larger varied sample size may be needed show health impacts; however, these did not increase
