摘要: In order to assess the long-term impact of persistent organic contaminants such as polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDD/Fs) it is important be able quantify historical exposure. An understanding past exposure not only place our current body burdens in perspective, but useful assessing potential future Unfortunately, very few direct measurements main source (i.e., food) over decades are available. This study attempts reconstruct UK population PCDD/Fs using a combination emission estimates, information on environmental temporal trends derived from sediment cores archived materials, environmental/human fate modelling. Predicted adipose blood lipid concentrations for typical cross section time (1920-2000), which compared with measured data. The approach has been tested two PCDDs PCDFs showed encouraging agreement Certain parts modelling methodology have highlighted where there still poor processes governing behaviour. These areas discussed recommendations improvements made. paper thus represents an initial defines both (1920-present) (present-2020) population.
