摘要: Background: Sustained cardiac rehabilitation is the key intervention in prevention and treatment of many human diseases. However, implementation exercise programs can be challenging because early fatigability patients with chronic diseases, overweight individuals, aged people. Current methods assessment are based on subjective self-reporting such as rating perceived exertion or require specialized laboratory conditions sophisticated equipment. A practical approach allowing objective measurement exercise-induced fatigue would useful for optimization sustained delivery to improve patient outcomes. Objectives: The this study develop validate an innovative approach, using Web-enabled leg system. Methods: MedExercise training devices were equipped wireless temperature sensors order monitor their usage by rise resistance unit (Δt°). Since Δt° correlated intensity duration exercise, parameter was used characterize participants’ work output (LWO). Personal smart laptop computers gateways relevant software monitoring self-control training. Connection Internet cloud-based allowed remote LWO participants at home. Heart rates (HRs) measured fingertip pulse oximeters simultaneously 7 healthy volunteers. Results: Exercise-induced manifested decline and/or rising HR, which could observed real-time. Conversely, steady-state HR entire bout considered fatigue-free. amounts recommended daily physical activity expressed individual values reached during 30-minute fatigue-free moderate resulting a mean 8.1°C (SD 1.5°C, N=7). These applied thresholds sending automatic notifications upon taking personalized doses While time 30.3 4.1) minutes (n=25), analysis times required reach same participant revealed that longer durations due fatigability, manifesting reduced later stages bouts. Typically, exercising afternoons associated no fatigue, although evening sessions suggested diurnal pattern. Conclusions: This pilot demonstrated feasibility development real-time online well retrospective quantification bouts dose. simple method home accompanied routine might interventions primary care special populations.
