摘要: Hot stage optical and scanning electron microscopy were used to study isothermal crystallization of isotactic polypropylene (iPP) in the presence polyimide (Pl) fibres. Under same conditions, occurrence transcrystallization depends on type fibre used. The transcrystalline interphase has a composed structure, with characteristic layer adjacent surface. is about 1 μm thick crosshatched lamellar morphology. At interface between iPP Pl which causes transcrystallization, nuclei from zone grows observed. consist sheaves closely packed parallel needleshaped lamellae uniform thickness. phenomenon can be explained by epitaxial matrix surface fragments (domains) formed extended chains Different abilities fibres induce are associated superficial morphology
