Morphology development and non isothermal crystallization behaviour of drawn blends and microfibrillar composites from PP and PET

摘要: Microfibrillar composites (MFC) were prepared from the blends of polypropylene (PP) and poly (ethylene terephthalate) (PET) at a fixed weight ratio 85/15. The blending mixture was carried out in single screw extruder, followed by continuous drawing stretch (draw) 5. stretched converted into MFC injection moulding. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies showed that extruded isotropic, but both phases possessed highly oriented fibrils blends, which generated insitu during drawing. PET found to be randomly distributed PP matrix after non isothermal crystallization behaviour as blend, blend compared. analysis temperature time characteristics revealed had greater nucleating effect for than spherical particles short MFC.
