摘要: A correlation between rheology and morphology of polypropylene/poly(trimethylene terephthalate) blend nanocomposites was addressed. Organoclay particles were preferentially localized either at the interface or inside polyester phase depending upon affinity level exerted compatibilizing role by making a finer morphology. The functional compatibilizer found to be highly efficient in giving rise an enhanced interfacial adhesion uniform also expanded clay gallery space increasing its interlayer distance. Rheological measurements showed that nanoclay contribute complex viscosity system considerably. Also, upturn detected low angular frequencies ascribed secondary structure formation. Similar behavior when storage shear modulus studied, where terminal plateau yield stress character appeared connected with some intermolecular networks. This further supported via relaxation time spectra wherein additional peaks due emerged frequencies. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Sci., 2013
