摘要: Poly(trimethylene terephthalate) (PTT)/polypropylene (PP) blend nanocomposites were prepared by melt mixing of PTT, PP, and organically modified clay. The phase morphologies the PTT/PP distribution clay in investigated using scanning electron microscopy, transmission microscopy (TEM), wide angle X-ray diffraction. When PP is dispersed phase, domain size decreased significantly with increasing content from 0 to 5 wt %. In contrast, when PTT dimension a little larger presence 2 % compared case without TEM observations indicate that mainly distributed at interfaces along borderlines. addition, some intercalated tactoids (multilayer particles) are observed matrix whereas no discernable particles can be found indicating affinity higher than PP. PP-graft-maleic anhydride, morphology much finer, most exfoliated forming borderlines polygonal shape. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci,
