摘要: Fracture healing is known to be delayed in postmenopausal, osteoporotic females under oestrogen-deficient conditions. Confirming this, experimental studies demonstrated impaired callus formation ovariectomised animals. Oestrogen-deficiency affect the immune system and inflammatory response during wound healing. Because a balanced required for proper bone healing, we were interested ascertain whether early after facture affected by oestrogen depletion. To address above question, female mice received either bilateral ovariectomy (OVX) or sham-operated, femur osteotomy was performed 8 weeks OVX/sham operation. The effects of OVX on presence cells pro-inflammatory cytokines evaluated flow cytometry immunohistochemistry fracture calli days 1 3 fracture. One day fracture, cell numbers populations haematoma did not differ between OVX- sham-mice. However, OVX-mice displayed significantly greater neutrophils. Local expression oestrogen-responsive cytokine midkine (Mdk) interleukin-6 (IL-6) increased compared with sham-mice, indicating that both factors might involved Mdk-antibody treatment decreased number neutrophils reduced local IL-6 OVX-mice. These data indicate oestrogen-deficiency influences phase This may contribute
