摘要: Eukaryotic protein secretion requires efficient and accurate delivery of diverse secretory membrane proteins. This process initiates in the ER, where vesicles are sculpted by essential COPII coat. The Sec13p subunit coat contributes to scaffolding, which enforces curvature on nascent vesicle. A requirement for can be bypassed when traffic lumenally oriented proteins is abrogated. Here we sought further explore impact cargo vesicle formation. We show that ER export p24 family a major driver Sec13p. scaffolding burden presented complex met part adaptor Lst1p, binds subset cargo, including propose function Lst1p required generate accommodate difficult include large oligomeric assemblies asymmetrically distributed Vesicles contain such cargoes also more dependent Sec13p, may serve as model carrier formation other systems.
