摘要: Abstract A heat and mass transfer effectiveness definition relevant to clothes dryers is developed in this work. correlation presented for determining the of a horizontal-axis, tumble-type dryer drum with axial airflow. The function four measurable quantities: air flow rate, cloth mass, drum, fall time experienced by falling full height (i.e. diameter) drum. Buckingham Pi Theorem applied problem order derive dimensionless terms upon which depends. Empirical data from several are used an empirical as variables. Three types were investigated, separate proposed each. Together, concept provide new, more accurate, computationally efficient, readily implemented framework modeling simulating dryers. It conventional gas electric drying appliances, vapor compression pump dryers, thermoelectric With appropriate inputs, extensible any thermal-evaporative systems, including radial-flow horizontal axis tumble drums.
