摘要: The structural applications of lightweight alloys in the automotive and aerospace industries inevitably involve welding joining challenging dissimilar Mg-to-Al Mg-to-steel while guaranteeing safety integrity. Sound lap joints were achieved via ultrasonic spot (USW) – an environment-friendly solid-state technique. addition Sn interlayer during USW effectively blocked formation brittle Al12Mg17 intermetallic compound without interlayer, led to presence a distinctive composite-like Mg2Sn eutectic structure both Mg-to-HSLA (high strength low alloy) steel joints. shear types with was significantly higher than that corresponding interlayer.
