摘要: Abstract Cyclic deformation characteristics and the distribution of twins in a recently developed magnesium alloy AM30 after strain-controlled low cycle fatigue tests were studied loading direction along extrusion direction. The was basically cyclically stable at lower strain amplitude 0.2% with stress small plastic amplitude, while it exhibited strong cyclic hardening higher 0.6%. In addition to initially high large increased decreased significantly as proceeded amplitude. Twinning compression detwinning tension occurred both amplitudes, residual observed near fracture surface consequence competition between twinning detwinning, depending on hardening–softening characteristics, zone size ahead crack tip. appeared mostly area prior final rapid fracture, extensive well-developed mainly initiation area.
