摘要: Abstract Objectives To examine the safety and effectiveness of placing ureteral stents in an office-based setting vs operating room (OR). Methods A retrospective chart review was performed to outcomes, specifically complication rate, unanticipated hospitalizations, stent failures, when patients received JJ clinic procedure suite, using local analgesia and/or nitrous oxide gas analgesia, compared who had placed OR, typically with general anesthesia. Additionally, multivariable analysis determine predictors complications. Results Around 565 procedures were 179 OR. The rate for group 4.1%, 7.8% OR group. Unplanned admissions hospital occurred after 3.0% 9.5% procedures. Stent placements failed 1.1% 0.56% Clinic time 10 minutes 12 (P Conclusions This study demonstrates excellent outcomes a novel approach standard procedure, shorter no difference rates.
