摘要: Abstract Role of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans culture in bioacidification and dewaterability anaerobically digested sewage sludge (ADS) was investigated. A. grown 9K medium along with Fe 2+ produced iron flocculant containing, secondary minerals biopolymeric substances as confirmed by FT-IR, XRD, SEM-EDX. Bioacidification ADS performed using 10% (v/v) culture, isolated cells cell-free filtrate; assessed the capillary suction time (CST) specific resistance to filtration (SRF). Isolated bacterial significantly ( P  while whole filtrate rapidly acidified without showed significant reduction CST (71.3–73.5%) SRF (84–88%). Results clearly indicated that facilitated rapid supplemented also enhanced but required 2–4 days.
