摘要: Daunomycin, like its anthracycline analog adriamycin, is a cardiotoxic antitumor antibiotic. Reports on 5,613 patients receiving daunomycin were reviewed for cardiotoxicity. Two distinct patterns of cardiotoxicity defined, congestive heart failure (cardiomyopathy) and electrocardiographic changes. Dose-response curves constructed using the percent incidence cardiomyopathy versus total dose in mg/m2. There was dose-response relationship between development cardiomyopathy, both children adults. The seem more susceptible to drug-induced cardiomyopathy. changes adults did not show dose-dependent relationship, present consistently even at lowest dosage levels, predict subsequent enable clinician judge relative risk developing given level allows comparison human experience with experimental animal model data.
