摘要: The relative usefulness of various initial findings in predicting survival is reported for 200 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who have been followed approximately 15 years. After 5 years follow-up, subjects 65 or more age showed a poorer rate than younger subjects. controlling age, the per cent predicted forced expiratory volume 1 sec after administration bronchodilator was best indicator prognosis. In less presence absence cor pulmonale further improved prediction subsequent mortality. Regardless findings, however, there wide individual variability prognosis, and factors relating to this remain obscure.
