摘要: Earlier studies on processing crude vegetable oils without added solvent using nonporous membranes showed excellent rejection of phospholipids and color compounds, while permeate flux needed improvement. In the present study, attempts were made to improve maintaining performance membrane. Oil was increased by one order magnitude diluting with hexane that would offer greater productivity. The in rice bran soybean membrane unaffected dilution. reduction compounds oil not severely affected indicating Maillard browning products rejected reasonably well even under dilute conditions. Rejection carotenoids sufficient for practical application up 1:2 Nonporous several advantages over ultrafiltration hexane–oil miscella, terms higher phospholipids, chlorophyll could make process economically more attractive.
