摘要: Indonesia and the Philippines offer world-class resources of geothermal energy. Only a small share their potential is being utilized for power generation today, but could be cost-effective option sustainable future supply in these countries. To evaluate economic viability large-scale integration generation, information on exploitation costs potentials are critical. But projects quite uncertain highly depend characteristics respective field. Hence, we develop model to estimate untapped Philippines, which based individual fields. Furthermore, derive cost-supply curves, integrate them into country-wide optimization models. We analyze expansion applying different levels CO2 emissions from generation. Power most three quartiles only vary moderately, increase significantly within fourth quartile. Especially Indonesia, energy can key resource replacing coal-fired cost-effectively by renewable sources.
