摘要: Abstract The electricity consumption in the ASEAN (Association of East Asian Nations) region is one fastest growing world and will lead to a dramatic increase greenhouse gas emissions next decades. A decarbonization region's supply thus very important measure when taking action on global climate change. This paper defines cost-optimal pathways towards sustainable power system by employing linear optimization. proposed model simultaneously optimizes required capacities hourly operation generation, transmission, storage. obtained results show that all different kinds renewable sources have be utilized, while none them should share more than third. findings give reason for setting up an grid, as it enables transportation from best sites load centers leads balancing fluctuations wind solar generation. We suggest fostering diversified extension renewables elaborate political technical solutions enable build transnational supergrid.
