摘要: To know the patte3rn of lipid profile in obese and non type - 2 mellitus patients as compared to a control group. One hundred (50 50 non-obese) diagnosed having diabetes minimum for last three years were randomly selected form outdoor department medicine, KTH, Peshawar during year 2002. Obesity was taken body mass index more than 25kg/m. healthy individuals from among staff KMC, KCD consitute they had no history any chronic illness. Subjects suffering cardiovascular diseases. Kidney disorder hepatic disorders excluded study. Fasting serum triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C VLDL-C determined by enzymatic calorimetric method calculated using friedewald (1972) formula. Dyslipidemia is significant finding patients.
