摘要: Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), also termed endotoxin, is an integral structural component of the outer membrane Gram-negative bacteria and has been a focus bioaerosol research for many years. Endotoxin nearly ubiquitous in environment; however, exposure at specific workplaces, such as waste collecting, livestock farming, agriculture, textile industry associated with adverse health effects. The aim of this review to summarize studies published last 10 years on endotoxin measurement effects due occupational settings. search was mainly performed using MEDLINE (Pubmed), focusing publications related determination inhalative exposure, shows that despite well-established methods available measure global comparison still remains difficult because details sampling strategies assessment are variable depend workplace situation. Thus, health-based threshold limit values cannot be derived basis data. Since only one heterogeneous mixture, question open how evaluate record additional other components. In particular, there lack intervention investigating effectiveness protective measures respect outcome. addition, selected this show wide range even within or sector. level seems more task way it rather than profession itself. identification hot spots well communication hazards possible measures, seem remain important tasks protection.
