摘要: Abstract The fracture of thin (3.18 mm) and thick (6.35 mm) specimens polycarbonate (PC), acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene (ABS) PC/ABS blends with both standard sharp notches was examined by Izod single edge notch three point bend (SEN3PB) instrumented Dynatup tests. Ligament lengths were varied for SEN3PB samples the corresponding data represented plotting specific energy ( U / A ) as a function ligament length (l). slope these plots found to be closely related impact strength size process (or stress whitened) zones surrounding crack surface. Significant morphology coarsening seen in some (70/30) injection molded parts; compatibilized 1% an SAN-amine polymer exhibited well-dispersed, stable morphologies. effects blend composition, ABS type, sample geometry, PC molecular weight, temperature, rubber concentration reactive compatibilization on properties materials examined.
