摘要: Abstract Caseous lymphadenitis, caused by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis, has a high prevalence in many regions of the world, including Argentina and Brazil. A polymerase chain reaction–restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR–RFLP) method for identification this microorganism was designed based on hypervariable region polymorphic RNA β-subunit gene (rpoB). All available rpoB sequences were analyzed computer-assisted restriction analysis. The PCR–RFLP pattern predicted using endonucleases MseI StuI clearly differentiated C. pseudotuberculosis from sixty-one other species. This successfully applied to identify twelve wild ovine isolates one caprine isolate. It also used differentiate Arcanobacterium pyogenes, an pathogen with similar clinical characteristics. These results indicate that new molecular can be reliable pathogen, essential timely detection infected animals epidemiological studies.
