摘要: Erythrasma is a chronic superficial infection of the intertriginous areas. Most laboratories use methylene blue stain and 10% KOH smear to identify Corynebacterium minutissimum (C. minutissimum) by direct observation filamentous bacilli. Occasionally atypical forms can be seen that create problems in diagnosis. This study aims polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method order definitively C. as an agent erythrasma. Methods: research was performed during 2013 on 100 skin scrapings suspicious for erythrasma which were obtained from various medical mycology Tehran. Samples tested three methods - examination, culture PCR. DNA extracted modified phenol-chloroform after PCR using designed primers. We sequenced some products. The sensitivity specificity compared examinations. Results: Of samples, there 25 positive samples according analysis, 13 examination 23 cultured positive. sequencing results showed presence minutissimum. comparison with had 100% 86.2%. also 97.4%. Conclusion: higher detection present confirmed all typical indicated importance this definitive diagnosis
