摘要: Background. Erythrasma is a superficial infection caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum and affects the major skin folds interdigital regions of feet. It characterized erythematous, brown, scaly patches maceration, exhibits coral-red fluorescence under Wood light. Objective. The aim this study was to determine frequency erythrasma in patients with lesions. Methods. An open, prospective, longitudinal, observational performed hospital Mexico City between March December, 2006. All lesions were examined lamp direct examination 20% potassium hydroxide. Cultures done Sabouraud dextrose agar brain heart infusion agar, smears analyzed. General characteristics concomitant diseases recorded. Results.
