摘要: The aim of this work was to study the relative ghrelin and growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R)1a gene expression in kidney long-term diabetic rats. Forty male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups: C- control group, DI- one month DII- two months DIII- three group. Diabetes induced by streptozotocin STZ (40mg/kg i.p). decapitated under ketamine anesthesia their tissues removed. Tissue GHS-R mRNA levels, expression, histopathological damage scores compared. Dilatation distal tubules, epithelial desquamation lumen tubules transparent showing glycogen vacuolation observed all groups. Ghrelin immunoreactivity significantly higher group DI compared C, whereas groups DII DIII, similar with C. GHSR-1a level DIII lower than As a result, increased at beginning diabetes; however, increase duration diabetes approached values. decreased duration. It seemed that down-regulation contributed renal diabetes.
