摘要: Toxicological studies constitute an essential part of the effort in developing herbal medicine into a drug product. A newly developed thymoquinone-rich fraction nanoemulsion (TQRFNE) has been prepared using high pressure homogenizer. The purpose this study was to investigate potential acute toxicity Sprague Dawley rats. were conducted as per OECD guidelines 425, allowing for use test dose limit 20 mL TQRFNE (containing 44.5 mg TQ)/kg. and distilled water (DW) control administered orally both sexes rats on Day 0 observed 14 days. All animals appeared normal, healthy throughout study. There no mortality or any signs during experimental period. effects DW groups general behavior, body weight, food consumption, relative organ hematology, histopathology, clinical biochemistry measured. parameters measured unaffected compared group. administration /kg not toxic after exposure.
