摘要: Aim To present a case report of metastasis from cervical cancer to the maxilla, which was misdiagnosed as periapical disease and caution clinicians that metastases could have disguised clinical presentation must be taken into account in differential diagnosis oncologic patients. Summary Although metastatic tumours jaws are uncommon, they may mimic benign inflammatory processes reactive lesions. The ability lesions is discussed brief review literature presented, emphasizing importance correct prevent delay diagnosing cancer. Attention should therefore given patient's medical history, especially those with previous history cancer, all dental practitioners aware possibility confused disease. Finally, endodontists well placed recognize malignant oral during initial stages, their treatments usually based on frequent appointments long-term follow-ups.
