摘要: Adhesive joints of bonded metal to composite materials are a recent development and in high interest automotive aerospace industry. Current industrial progress substitutes components by carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) load bearing structures due reduction weight energy saving. However, not all can be replaced CFRP. In this case, combination CFRP gives improved enhancement the structure. It is challenging detect disbonding type defects bonding area between dissimilar different properties multilayered Though extensive work was done evaluate interface similar material yet enough attention paid joints. This presents quality nondestructive testing (NDT) process which includes quantitative evaluation, experimental study model assisted probability detection (MAPOD) evaluation. Ultrasonic pulse echo technique used for inspection adhesively aluminum order disbonds occur layers. Computer modelling performed learn behavior ultrasonic wave transmitted reflected case To verify results using 10MHz focused transducer immersion mode. Sensitivity analysis parameters that influence measurement as well MAPOD assessment.
