摘要: For many years, economists have been interested in the reasons for clustering of firms within cities. Early attempts to address this question seemed focus primarily on supply side market and revolved around concept of' agglomeration economies' (see Richardson (I 978, pp. 4I -2)). More recently, sought an explanation by addressing demand market. Most attention has directed towards showing how search behaviour part consumers can lead selling similar products cluster Stahl (i982a, b); Stuart (I979) Eaton Lipsey (Ig79b)). While these comparison shopping models take us way understanding spatial distribution retailing, they cannot explain why non-substitutes also together centres come different sizes. The classic model that was designed observations one proposed Christaller (1 966). He obtained a hierarchy (or central places his terminology) wherein goods locate together.
