摘要: Background OCT4, SOX2, and NANOG are major transcription factors related to stem cell self-renewal differentiation. The aim of this study was examine the association OCT4, expression levels with development prognosis patients oral squamous carcinoma (OSCC). Materials Methods Expression were evaluated by immunohistochemistry tissue microarray slides 436 OSCC, 362 corresponding tumor-adjacent normal (CTAN) tissues, 71 uvula epithelium tissues. clinicopathologic follow-up data OSCC recorded. Results OCT4 significantly higher in CTAN tissues than tumor (both P < 0.001). SOX2 that (P = 0.021) (P < 0.001). However, (P = 0.014) (P = 0.009) tissue. Higher OCT4 expressions associated earlier AJCC stage (P = 0.002 P < 0.001), small size (P = 0.017 P = 0.001), absence lymph node metastasis (P = 0.015 P = 0.025). better disease-specific survival (P = 0.002) even after adjustment for factors. Discussion OCT4 biomarkers tumorigenesis early OSCC. is an independent prognostic factor
