摘要: The terminal differentiation of myelinating glia involves complex interactions that culminate in the formation myelin. POU domain transcription factor Tst-1/Oct-6/SCIP is expressed transiently during myelination, and we report here it has a critical role this developmental process. Deletion gene produces severe defect peripheral myelination by arresting Schwann cell maturation before axonal wrapping. Unexpectedly, activation major myelin-specific genes appears to be unaffected mutation, demonstrating multiple, independently regulated events are required for cells. In addition, aberrant migration specific neurons mutant homozygotes associated with fatal breathing defect, providing model investigating regulation pulmonary homeostasis.
