摘要: Epileptogenesis is a dynamic process initiated by insults to the brain that characterized progressive functional and structural alterations in certain cerebral regions, leading appearance of spontaneous recurrent seizures. Within duration trauma seizures, there typically latent period, which may offer therapeutic window for preventing emergence epilepsy. Previous animal studies have shown curcumin can attenuate acute seizure severity oxidative stress, but effect on epileptogenesis has not been studied. We examined continued administration during period deleterious consequences status epilepticus adult rats post-status model temporal lobe epilepsy induced kainic acid. demonstrate that, while treatment does prevent occurrence seizures after epilepticus, it protect against cognitive impairment. Thus, with following beneficial modifying epileptogenesis.
