摘要: A cathode block of a cell for the electrowinning aluminium comprises carbon body having hard and abrasion-resistant surface obtained by heating an applied layer particulate refractory metal boride with bonding material which when heated reacts carbon. In particular slurry in colloidal alumina is dried under inert or reducing atmosphere, formed bed powder, reacted to form at least one stable compound between derived from alumina; boron titanium diboride; atmosphere.
