摘要: Abstract Since 1963, much research has increased the knowledge of electron-transport system in Trypanosomatidae. It is now justifiable to suppose that all cyanide-sensitive insect trypanosomatids and midgut forms trypanosomes have a cytochrome localized mitochondria similar Crithidia fasciculata : cytochromes + 3 , b, C 555 coenzyme Q 9 oxidase o . This probably also present blood (e.g., Trypanosoma cruzi T. lewisi ) Leishmania species. Inhibition formation function this mitochondrial may provide means for preventing development pathogens vertebrates. Characterization electron transport bloodstream cyanide-insensitive still remains vague. Detailed biochemical studies are needed with pure morphological forms, particularly slender stumpy forms. The particulate l -α-glycerophosphate should be further characterized; soluble dehydrogenase awaits attention. Formation Trypanosomatidae an attractive target drugs. future effective trypanocides bound up rigorous studies.
