摘要: A method is described for isolating mitochondria from nodules of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata [L.] Walp.) under completely anaerobic conditions. The were immediately active when incubated aerobically with substrates, and their respiration rates higher than prepared in air. lacked fumarate reductase not inhibited by 5% CO2. When microaerobic conditions, could be measured leghemoglobin spectroscopy. Microaerobic was approximately 50% 1 millimolar malonate, cyanide. O2 uptake the ATP/O ratio declined therefore ATP production may low environment infected nodule cells.
