摘要: Carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) is one of the most abundant species in cometary nuclei, but because its high volatility, CO ice generally only found beneath surface. We report infrared spectroscopic identification a ice–rich surface area located Anhur region comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. Spectral modeling shows that about 0.1% 80- by 60-meter ice. This exposed was observed short time after exited local winter; following increased illumination, completely disappeared over 3 weeks. estimate mass sublimated and depth eroded layer. interpret presence as result extreme seasonal changes induced rotation orbit comet.
