摘要: Abstract A life cycle classification for severe local storms is proposed, which adds a fourth stage, the quasi-steady SR Mature Stage, to well-known Byers-Braham classification. combined analysis of surface weather and radar echoes from three neighboring reveals that each storm went through similar, well-defined metamorphosis at onset its Stage. The distinctive character this stage attributed rotational properties updraft, in studied developed when updrafts had become vigorous enough produce giant hail.
