摘要: Publisher Summary The continuous population growth and reduction of global famine are challenges for the sustainability ecosystems involved in crop livestock production systems. Thus, there is inevitable need to increase food production, without increasing negative environmental impacts also answer public health demands. Intensive agricultural systems using conventional practices have been detrimental environment pressure some foods might rate deterioration. world's simplified homogenized through monocultures, replacing natural that once contained hundreds if not thousands plant species, insect many species vertebrates ecological balance. Improvements required system include more efficient use fertilizers water integrated pest management strategies minimize toxic pesticides fungicides. Meeting these requirements a great scientific challenge humankind because trade-offs among competing economic goals, inadequate knowledge key biological, biogeochemical, processes.
