摘要: The goal of the World Health Organization is to stop routine use oral poliovirus vaccine shortly after interruption wild transmission. A key component this minimize risk reintroduction by destruction polioviruses except in an absolute minimum number facilities that serve essential functions and implement effective containment. Effective containment begins with a complete facility assessment. This article focuses on characterizing risks exposure from production, quality control, international reference research remain. We consider potential pathways might lead reintroduction, including para-occupational exposures releases environment, review literature provide available estimates qualitative assessment risks. Minimizing transmission increasingly susceptible communities crucial ongoing effort requiring understanding actively managing pathways.
