摘要: Plasma interaction at the interface between magnetosheath and magnetosphere has been extensively studied during recent years. As a consequence various theoretical models have emerged. The impulsive penetration mechanism initially proposed by Lemaire Roth as an alternative approach to steady state reconnection, is non-stationary model describing processes which take place when 3-D solar wind plasma irregularity interacts with outer regions of Earth's magnetosphere. In this paper we are reviewing main features role electric field in driving events. An point view controversy it raised discussed. We also review numerical codes developed simulate transport across magnetopause. They illustrated relationship magnetic distribution convection solar-wind inside brought into perspective phenomena (like instabilities waves) were not explicitly integrated early penetration. Numerical simulations devoted these cover broad range approximations, from ideal MHD hybrid kinetic codes. results show limitation theories full observed magnetopause magnetospheric boundary layers.
