摘要: Isolated pancreatic metastases (isPM) are a rare metastasizing pattern in the natural history of renal cell cancer. Their clinical hallmark is that they confined to single organ, pancreas, while all other organs unaffected for long time. Almost workers field suggested mechanical tumor propagation pancreas may be mechanism underlying this pattern. In 2006 our group, by contrast, proposed an alternative mechanism, i.e. special affinity cells pancreas. present study attempt was made shed more light on settlement isPM reviewing recent literature data. 666 observations reported were reviewed. The analyses showed local lymphatic spread does not play major role because system is, general, rarely involved isPM. This also applies venous spread, site independent side affected primary But results compatible with systemic metastatic pathway. That organs, which would expected given absent can plausibly explained seed and soil mechanism: only offers emboli environment conducive growth clinically manifest metastases, prevented organs.
