摘要: in elementary schools, public and parochial, children the intermediate grades are expected to use reading as a learning tool. Curriculum guides built upon this premise, yet, many children, especially disadvantaged youngsters, have not acquired skills necessary cope successfully with materials they read. The complexity of situation requires experimentation teaching techniques organizational plans that will help teachers direct programs more effectively. Research has indicated an eclectic approach based on needs individual child produces greatest growth achievement (Austin Morrison, 1963, P. 60 Bond Dylestra, 1967, 7; Wagner, 1966, 221 ). Three factors implied statement; namely, diagnosis abilities, individualized instruction, teach ing suited child. To initiate program these three principles is diffi cult. If teacher such program, class load prevents her from executing it (Bond Dykstra, 228). Recently, non-certified personnel assist been spreading different parts country. High school students, college other interested persons attempting improve abilities through tutoring programs.
