摘要: Successful implementation of the quest for sustainable use planet requires that human society both reexamine and expand present views what is sacred not. The most important aspect will be going beyond a homocentric focus to biocentric emphasis. A unifying theme would desire leave habitable descendants those other spe- cies. It unlikely can confident achieving sustainability until persuasive evidence supporting this belief has existed several generations. In order persist indefinitely, conditions essential state must morally preserved on grounds. Viewing natural systems as not only preventing damage them but, wher- ever possible, repairing caused by humankind.
