SEASONAL VARIATION IN THE DISTRIBUTION AND ISOTOPIC COMPOSITION OF PHYTOPLANKTON IN AN AMAZON FLOODPLAIN LAKE, BRAZIL

摘要: To evaluate the seasonal variation and isotopic composition of phytoplankton, water samples were collected monthly between October 2007 November 2008 in Lake Catalao, a floodplain lake at confluence rivers Negro Amazon. Analyses total chlorophyll concentration δ 13 C 15 N abundances made from particulate size fractions 30-60, 10-30 <10 µm littoral, pelagic, floating meadows regions. Chlorophyll was found to be inversely associated depth, high concentrations zone significant.  The fraction most abundant representing average more than 40% matter. values relatively constant during study (-25.1‰ ~ -34.0‰), whereas showed strong variability (15.6‰ 2.4‰), which has been attributed resuspension sediments mixing column. VARIACION ESTACIONAL DE LA DISTRIBUCION Y COMPOSICION ISOTOPICA DEL FITOPLANCTON EN UN LAGO INUNDACION AMAZONIA, BRASIL. Con el proposito de evaluar la variacion estacional abundancia isotopica (δ e N) del fitoplancton, muestreos mensuales fueron realizados entre octubre y noviembre en lago un inundacion zona confluencia los rios Solimoes, ubicado frente ciudad Manaus (AM, Brasil). Analisis clorofila evaluaciones natural las fracciones particuladas zonas litoral, pelagica macrofitas acuaticas. La concentracion presento una relacion inversa con profundidad lago, siendo relevantes altas concentraciones encontradas dentro tapete fraccion <10µm fue que mayor clorofila, representando mas material particulado.
