摘要: The primary purpose of this study was to compare different lagoons from eight floodplains in South America (Amazon, the Upper Parana, Middle Mogi- Guacu, Araguaia, Pantanal, Sao Francisco and Orinoco floodplains). Secondly, effect water level upon selected limnological variables (important frequently used studies) evaluated. Data were obtained published articles dissertations. Some unpublished data Amazon Araguaia also used. Despite general differences among such as climate, geology characteristics main river, certain constant patterns found. Oxygen concentration always higher during low phase and, general, have an acid independently period. By comparing Amazon, Parana floodplains, whose are more abundant, high variability chemical factors found when measured by variation coefficient. This result supports hypothesis that flood pulse acts a regional process increases similarity lagoons.
