摘要: Statement of the Problem: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCH) is controversial in treatment oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Purpose: The aim this study was to evaluate efficacy NCH on OSCC prognosis. Materials and Method: In retrospective cohort study, 94 patients were studied two groups. group 1 received before surgery, those 2 underwent resection without any prior surgery. employed agents consisted cisplatin combination with 5-fluorouracil courses. Tumor size, lymph node involvement, age, follow-up time considered as variable factors study. Local recurrence (LR) distant metastasis (DM) outcomes Results: Comparison LR DM various tumor sizes demonstrated no significant difference between groups ( p > 0.05). Analysis data did not show statistically for subjects N0, N1 N2. Each one-year increase age associated 10% hazard ratio (HR) (HR distance Y/N = 1.10, same analysis, when considering a dependent factor, risk N2 3 times more than 0.02). N3 5 [HR local 0.006). Conclusion: Based our results, neoadjuvant may improve prognosis OSCC. However, further studies are suggested assess other protocols patients.
