摘要: Until recently, the application of microwave systems has been hampered by relatively large and expensive equipment, particularly in millimetre submillimetre-wave range. The development more reliable efficient solid-state sources up to range now stimulated new interest commercial applications. Three different approaches can be distinguished, radar, radiometry transmission measurement applications. The widest spread applications are found radar for traffic control industrial scientific use. High resolution, high antenna gain easy acquisition, even non-metallic objects, conjunction with contactfree or remote sensing, makes millimetre-wave approach best suited purposes. Applications contactless velocity, distance acceleration on rail vehicles, medicine industry, e.g. cancer diagnostics atmospheric sensing. The behaviour materials gases examined, using approach. Atmospheric pollution non-destructive evaluation solid realizations this technique.Employing millimetre- frequencies these gives inherent improvement accuracy due loss frequency risk interference between is effectively reduced.
