摘要: The purpose of this clinical study was to determine the effect 7 day intracanal dressing with calcium hydroxide on amount bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS; endotoxin) in human teeth necrotic and infected pulp apical periodontitis. Twenty-five single-rooted pulps periodontitis were selected. Samples collected before (S1), after root canal preparation (S2) (S3). limulus amoebocyte lysate assay used quantify LPS. LPS present 100% canals A significant reduction, equal 29.54%, found (P < 0.05). difference (equal 25.26% reduction) also detected between S2 S3 Total endotoxin reduction (S3 compared S1) be 47.34%. Endotoxin concentration reduced days hydroxide; however, relatively high values remained canals.
